CUNY Resolution on Creating an Efficient Transfer System

The City University of New York adopted this resolution to better accommodate student mobility within the city. It compels CUNY institutions to recognize each other's general education coursework, and sets a maximum of 30 units in the lower division, twelve in the upper division. As a result of this resolution CUNY expects to improve degree production, but at some cost to insititutional distinctiveness.
